Building your own pulse dial to tone dial converter for vintage telephones

  1. Hello I am just curious the second design schematic on your pulse DTMF tone is different than a month ago. Does this new one work or was it mistakenly uploaded. The Parts list still matches the original revised schematic.

    1. Good observation!

They both work. The first one was unnecessarily complicated, so revised and re-uploaded it.

When I release the gerbers (in the coming weeks) – they will be for the present schematic.

  2. Hello. A Danish F68 rotary dial telephone will add one to every digit dialed. Dialing 1 will come out as 2, 2 will come out as 3 and so on. I have looked through your code but I can’t seem to find a way to subtract 1 from every digit dialed. Could you please help me out?

    1. A very simple change. You’d replace the code inside the NZ_DIAL define to do that. I’ll take a look at it when I get a chance.

    2. I had the same problem, but I was able to change the program so it will substract one pulse and it now works fine, I can mail you the firmware if you are interested (I know it’s been a while since you posted this).

  3. Hi,

Thanks for sharing your Pulse to DTMF converter design. Please could you let me know the license for the hardware and software?

    Thanks again
    Matthew
